Miami Bars to Try This Weekend
Happy Humpday! With the week nearly halfway over, it’s time to start thinking about where you might want to go this weekend, assuming you won’t be checking out some great. Today we’re taking a look at some of the best bars in Wynwood and the neighboring areas, beginning with Gramps on 24th Street. Despite its name, the vibe at Gramps is all about enjoying its trendy cocktails and “chilling out” in a relaxed environment.
Just a couple of blocks north in the Midtown area is Prohibition Restaurant & Speakeasy on Miami Avenue. As the name of the bar suggests, the place prides itself on its mastery of the classics that harken back to the Prohibition era.
Over in Edgewater, visit City Hall the Restaurant on Biscayne Boulevard. During these toasty Miami summer days, you may want to visit the place to check out its vast assortment of cocktails concocted by its owner and Miami native Steven Haas. As someone who has worked in numerous places across the Magic City, Haas knows how to prepare his guests a fantastic cocktail.
If you’re looking for a throwback, classic vibe, head south to Downtown Miami and enjoy the live jazz and blues being performed at Lilt Lounge on Biscayne Boulevard Way. The place specializes in champagne and rum cocktails and has views of the waterfront.
