What’s Going on in Wynwood This Week
Looking for plans in one of Miami’s most popular neighborhoods? Home of several art exhibitions, including our own Wynwood art gallery, Wynwood is one of the trendiest locations in the city. The fun only starts here because there is always something to do in this district.
This week and throughout the month of August, the Dina Mitrani Gallery is presenting a special art exhibit called The Lives of Books. This exhibit does the contrary of what the old rule says and judges books by their covers. It appreciates the sole visual appeal of books as an art piece in itself. It serves as a reminder in the age of technology to be grateful for the intricate details in books such as the print, bindings and covers.
If you decide to do something a little different, the Cafeina Wynwood Lounge is hosting a Colombian Independence Day concert that features many Latin American artists. The headliners of this show are the popular salsa duo, Richie Ray & Bobby Cruz. This Colombian Independence Day concert is not just limited to Colombians; anyone who enjoys “salsa brava” music and Latin flavor is welcome to join! The event begins July 16 at 12:00 AM and ends July 18. The tickets are $45 and $60 at the door. The Dina Mitrani Gallery and the Cafeina Wynwood Lounge are in close proximity to our Wynwood art gallery, so make sure you come visit us at Scenario!
